Crespi’s Pupich to Play Football for Air Force

Crespi High lineman Alex Pupich has accepted an appointment to the Air Force Academy and plans to play football at the Colorado Springs, Colo., school.
Pupich, an All-Mission League selection at both tight end and defensive end, last year helped the Celts win their first league title since 1972.
Last fall, Pupich caught 30 passes for 553 yards (18.4-yard average) and a team-high six touchdowns. Pupich (6-foot-5, 200 pounds), who has a grade-point average of 3.5, was an All-Southern Section Division III selection at defensive end.
