SAN DIEGO : Attack on Gay Man Draws Felony Trial
- Share via
Two young men accused of committing a hate crime against a gay man in Clairemont last month will face trial in Superior Court, a judge decided Wednesday.
Aaron Graham, 18, and Michael Favreau, 20, are charged with assaulting Marvin Joseph Grubb, 37, whose leg was broken in three places in a March 26 attack. They are also accused of attacking the victim because of his sexual orientation.
Municipal Judge William H. Woodward said there was sufficient evidence to hold a trial on the charges in Superior Court.
Graham and Favreau will have a trial date set on April 29. They are both free on bail.
