Camp Stories
I am a 54-year-old working male with a wife and 14-year-old daughter living in Southern California.
Like many others of your “constituency,” I would like to travel to exotic lands, stay in $250-per-night motels and enjoy fabulous food, but the truth of the matter is, we can afford weekend trips to local campgrounds and a once-a-year trip by camper or RV within a 1,000- to 1,500-mile radius.
President Bush is running scared because he has lost touch with the daily realities of his constituencies. Have you?
How about a feature a week on Southern California campgrounds and U.S. Southwest trips by road? In short, how about promoting America and writing about real travel adventures, not just the lottery winner’s daydreams?
