Re “Gang War Truce” (April 5): The story was great. Some positive news about people working to put an end to gang violence. But I get angry when I look at the picture you chose to run with the article--boys holding up shirts with the names of slain gang members on them and another of someone spray-painting on a wall.
Why do you have to play up on the glorification of death and the defacing of property? You are helping to legitimize this kind of abhorrent behavior. I know you want to sell newspapers, but you have a community responsibility too.
