Scheffels Denied Temporary Restraining Order

Simi Valley High pitcher Bill Scheffels was denied a temporary restraining order Monday in Ventura County Superior Court that would have allowed him to again play for the school baseball team.

Scheffels, a sophomore transfer from Alemany, was declared ineligible by Southern Section officials two weeks ago because of an improper change of residency upon his transfer. His appeal to the Southern Section is scheduled to be heard at 9 this morning. Scheffels will receive a full court hearing April 28.
