Special Election
San Fernando Valley voters will cast ballots today in a special election to choose a successor to former state Sen. Alan Robbins (D-Van Nuys), who resigned from his 20th Senate District seat after agreeing to plead guilty to corruption charges.
Ten candidates are vying for the seat, including Senate Democratic leader David A. Roberti (D-Los Angeles). Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voter turnout is expected to be as low as 10%.
Voters can consult their sample ballots for the location of polling stations or call the Los Angeles County registrar-recorder at (213) 721-1100.
