Carroll W. Parcher; 4-Time Glendale Mayor

Carroll W. Parcher, editor and publisher of the Glendale News-Press for 25 years and a four-time Glendale mayor, died of cancer Tuesday. He was 88 and died in Glendale, a city founded by his father, Wilmot.
Carroll Parcher, who wrote a column about life in his native city from 1939 until 1988, came to be known as “Mr. Glendale.” He also served on the City Council.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Glendale First United Methodist Church.
