Price connected on all eight of his first-half shots and did not miss a shot until the fourth quarter in leading the Saints to a 67-58 first-round CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA playoff win last week over Murphy of Los Angeles. He ended up with a game-high 32 points and 10 rebounds.

* Jacobi Thompson, a junior forward for Pius X of Downey, connected on 15 of 22 of his shots and scored a game-high 37 points as the Warriors advanced in the CIF Southern Section Division IV-AA basketball playoffs with a 74-49 win over Morro Bay.

* James Cotton, a junior forward for St. John Bosco of Bellflower, scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Braves won their first-round CIF Southern Section Division II-AA basketball playoff game over Katella, 78-47.
