Three Oxnard men were arrested and cocaine with a street value of $8,500 was seized at the Esplanade Shopping Center, capping a monthlong undercover investigation, authorities said Thursday.
The arrests ended an investigation by narcotics officers from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the Oxnard and Ventura police departments, said sheriff’s Sgt. Arnie Aviles.
Arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of selling cocaine were Bobby Joe Andrade, 20; Sonny James Vasquez, 20, and Jon Paul Basua, 19, all of Oxnard.
The men were arrested after an undercover sheriff’s deputy negotiated to buy a quarter pound of the drug, Aviles said.
Bail was set at $20,000 each.
