WRITER & BEAST: When “Beauty and the Beast” Wednesday became the first animated feature ever nominated for an Oscar as Best Picture, Linda Woolverton, 39, was among those celebrating with her Disney Studio colleagues. Woolverton, a Cal State Fullerton graduate, wrote the screenplay. . . . “I’m beside myself with joy,” she says. “Anything after this is just icing.” She’s paid dues. Before writing children’s books and scripting Saturday morning cartoons, she was a theater major at CSUF and studied directing, writing and acting for children’s theater. (F1)
