BRIGHTER SIDE: Former Nixon chief of staff H. R. Haldeman never had good relations with the news media, especially after his conviction in the Watergate scandal. But still good friends with the former President, Haldeman is back for another visit to the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace today: to meet the press. He’s guest speaker for its fifth High School Editor’s Forum. . . . Haldeman was at Nixon’s side for the historic visit to China 20 years ago this week and will talk about that trip.
