NUMBERS WATCH: Former Irvine Mayor Larry Agran knows he’s not going to win today’s New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary (A1). But he has a goal: 2% to 3% of the vote. . . . “If we can do that, we’ll have a foothold to build on going into Maine,” Agran says. His attempt to get his name known in New Hampshire has been discouraging, he says, but he sees brighter days ahead: He’s in on the televised debate Sunday in South Dakota, and he’s about to qualify for $250,000 in federal matching money.
