A SCHOOL’S FRIEND: Marian Fagan, a Laguna Beach artist and interior designer, became friends with Katy Carson and her mother, Barbara Carson, who was a longtime teacher at Laguna Beach High School. The friendships meant a lot to her. . . . Fagan, who died in the fall at 94, has left the school its largest endowment, $176,000. That’s half the proceeds of the sale of her Laguna home. The money will go for scholarships for seniors who plan to attend medical school.
