CAMARILLO : Fast-Food Outlet Is Burglarized
A McDonald’s restaurant in Camarillo was hit by late-night burglars who may be targeting outlets of the fast-food chain, authorities said Tuesday.
About $8,000 was stolen in the Monday break-in after intruders pried open a cashier’s window and broke open a safe in the manager’s office, Ventura Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Lazz said.
The burglary at the 64 Daily Drive restaurant occurred between 12:30 and 4:30 a.m., Lazz said.
He said McDonald’s outlets in Santa Barbara and Ventura also have been burglarized recently.
