Awesome Dudes: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles want their young fans to start using a new catchword: “Cowabuckle!!!” It’s their way of urging the younger set to buckle up. The popular figures are the “SpokesTurtles” in a new National Highway Safety Administration video news release, and they were on hand at an awesome press conference in Washington to help launch National Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week and the SAFE KIDS Buckle-Up Program.

Back at Work: Journalist Elizabeth Drew said Tuesday that she is back at work and feeling fine after brain tumor surgery last September, but she said her 20-year association with public television’s “Inside Washington” is ending because of a contract dispute centering on when she could return to work. Meanwhile, she is scheduled to rejoin NBC-TV’s “Meet the Press” on Feb. 23.
