Shakespeare in Pasadena: Hal Holbrook, Ed Asner, Carol Kane, Earl Holliman and Michael Jeter are part of an all-star cast for the third annual Shakespeare Festival/LA All-Star benefit reading of “The Tempest” Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Pasadena Playhouse’s Balcony Theater. Proceeds will aid the nonprofit festival company that presents Shakespearean classics each summer, charging only a canned food contribution for admission.
