R.H. Macy Companies
I have no vested interest in R.H. Macy, but I am distressed to watch a giant fall.
Though currently ensconced in California, my roots are in New York City. I confess that I rarely shopped in Macy’s since its size intimidated me. However, I have always had a sense of pride knowing that my native city housed the largest department store in the entire world.
Harrod’s in London has its charm; Neiman Marcus in the West, its elegance. R.H. Macy has it all. It is New York!
In addition to my nostalgic lament, I am concerned for the thousands of employees whose financial future may be in jeopardy.
