Clues to the slaying of a 17-year-old Diamond Bar girl are being sought by San Bernardino County sheriff’s investigators, who said the girl was last seen alive Monday afternoon arguing with a man in a Chino Hills park.
The victim, Amy Marie Hess, was found at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, shot to death in her Pontiac Grand Am that was parked in a construction area near View Ridge Street and View Ridge Court.
Hess, who worked in Ontario, left for lunch at 1:30 p.m. Monday and never returned. She was last seen between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. in English Springs Park, where she argued with the driver of a light brown Nissan Sentra or Maxima, sheriff’s investigators said.
They seek park users who witnessed the argument.
