Duke Loses Point Guard Hurley Up to 3 Weeks With Broken Foot
DURHAM, N.C. — The bad news continued Thursday for Duke when it was learned that point guard Bobby Hurley broke a bone in his right foot in the first half of Wednesday night’s loss to North Carolina. Hurley will be sidelined for up to three weeks.
Team physicians X-rayed Hurley Thursday at Duke Medical Center and found he had broken the second right metatarsal in his right foot.
Hurley had been X-rayed earlier in the week after suffering pain in his foot following the Notre Dame game. No fracture was found then.
Top-ranked Duke was unbeaten before losing to North Carolina, 75-73. The Blue Devils will play No. 22 Louisiana State on Saturday.
