PREP NOTES

Jana Laster has been named the boys’ volleyball coach at El Toro High School, Athletic Director John Johansen said Monday.

Laster replaces Mike Jagd, who resigned after leading the Charger girls’ team to the State Division I title last season. Jagd plans to pursue a doctorate degree at the University of Colorado.

Laster played at Fresno State from 1977-80. She has been a volleyball coach at Santa Cruz Soquel High School, and was the boys’ junior varsity coach at Dana Hills last season.
