BUSINESS NEWS : Industry Council Wins Marketing Plan Contest
The Pasadena-based Foothill Private Industry Council has won the 1991 Marketing Plan Contest of the National Assn. of Private Industry Councils.
Foothill competed with 450 U.S. cities for the $500 prize. Foothill previously won state honors for marketing excellence with its posters, newsletters, annual reports and public service announcements.
The council is made up of government, business, education and labor leaders who oversee an annual $2.7-million federal grant for training and job placement of West San Gabriel Valley residents.
