* R. Van Ness Holland Jr., 38, has been promoted to executive vice president-finance and treasurer, chief financial officer of Wyle Laboratories, El Segundo.
Holland, 38, succeeds Theodore M. Freedman, who is retiring. Freedman will continue as a member of the board of directors.
Holland joined Wyle in 1979 and was promoted to senior vice president in 1990 .
