* Mark R. Arnesen has been named corporate counsel for First American Financial Corp. and its principal subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Co. He succeeds William G. Zaenglein Jr., who has retired from that position but is temporarily retaining his job as corporate secretary until a replacement is named. Arnesen has been with First American since 1979, and was made a vice president of First American Title in 1989.
