Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) will have its first Hall of Fame Awards dinner at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel Saturday night. Los Angeles area stars to be inducted are Duke Snider, Compton High; Bobby Doerr and Phil Pote, Fremont; Eddie Murray, Locke; Chet Brewer, Jefferson, and George Genovese, a San Francisco Giant scout who has signed many of the area’s high school prospects.
