RV Lot Foes in Woodshed
When the Port Hueneme City Council set up a proposal for an RV parking lot at Hueneme beach park, it was natural that we protested legally to our elected representatives and coastal commission members. For our efforts, the council passed that infamous “view tax.” To make it appear legal, City Hall calls it a “Hueneme beach assessment.” But this tax is levied only on homeowners south of Hueneme Road. The council further states that this tax will be rescinded if and when the RV lot ( if is a very big word here) becomes a reality. Why do they consider thistle, weeds and dune grass ugly? We are sent to the woodshed for contradicting the dictates of the supreme council.
