MORE X’S: Students doing papers on Martin Luther King Jr. to coincide with his birthday (B1) pretty much depleted library bookshelves. But it’s a different leader in demand some places. The Santa Ana Public Library has ordered 30 copies of books on Malcolm X, who is the subject of the upcoming Spike Lee movie. . . . Officials say interest in the black activist, slain in 1965, is greater than they’ve been able to keep up with.
