Cold Cash Again the Target of Robbers
A Baskin-Robbins store in Clairemont was held up by two men Monday night, the fourth time in the past two weeks that a San Diego franchise of the ice cream chain has been robbed.
San Diego police said two men in their early 20s, one brandishing a gun with a 6-inch barrel, held up the Baskin-Robbins in the 4700 block of Clairemont Drive at 9:12 p.m.
The two men were last seen running in the 4900 block of Clairemont Drive, police said.
Less than $100 was taken in the robbery, they said.
This robbery differed from the three previous heists of the frozen confection concessionaires, which involved a single robber each time.
