Auto Surcharge

Published in the Metro Digest (Jan. 8) was an article regarding the request of Sheriff Sherman Block to assess a $1 surcharge on auto registrations to help pay for an auto theft prevention program.

I suggest an alternative:

Block should get his house in order. Stop the abuse that has cost the county millions a year in lawsuits for brutality. People are tired of police brutality. Why give them more money to continue?
