Real Madrid Coach George Karl, former coach of the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, told his players he was leaving the Spanish team in hopes of getting an NBA job.
A Seattle SuperSonics spokesman said Karl is a candidate for the opening there, but that no coach has been picked to replace K.C. Jones.
