Two men robbed a Ventura men’s clothing store and several customers Saturday afternoon and then used the clerk’s vehicle as a getaway car, police said.
Two men armed with a handgun and a knife entered the Workingman’s Depot in the 2300 block of East Main Street about 3 p.m. and ordered the clerk to lie on the floor. Several customers who walked into the store during the robbery were also ordered to get on the floor, police said.
On the robbers’ orders, the customers and clerk emptied their pockets and removed their jewelry, police said. The thieves also took some store property and money from the cash register. No one was hurt, police said.
