All Smarts Wins Ahoy Handicap

NEW YORK — Boto Stables’ All Smarts stalked pacesetting Sunny Blossom to the stretch, then after battling briefly with the favorite pulled away in the final furlong for a 3 1/2-length victory Friday in Aqueduct’s Ahoy Handicap.
The winner carried 109 pounds, including jockey Gerry Brocklebank, through 6 furlongs in 1:10 2/5 in the $41,000 event for older horses. All Smarts earned $24,600 with his fourth victory in eight starts and paid $22.60 for his victory.
Hawk In Flight was second in the six-horse field, a nose ahead of Alex’s Candy.
