Cordero, Velazquez Hurt in Four-Horse N.Y. Spill
NEW YORK — Jockey Angel Cordero suffered a broken right arm when he was thrown from his mount in a four-horse spill during Sunday’s second race at Aqueduct.
Cordero and jockey John Velazquez were in the intensive-care unit at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center on Sunday night. Jockeys Jorge Chavez and Jean-Luc Samyn suffered minor injuries.
