Body of Woman Found in Lancaster
The body of an unidentified woman was found Sunday afternoon in a Lancaster riverbed, authorities said.
The body was discovered about 3:25 p.m. in a riverbed about 200 yards west of the intersection of 60th Street East and Avenue J, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Larry Mead said.
No details on the woman’s age or the circumstances surrounding her death were immediately available. An investigation by homicide detectives was continuing, Mead said.
