Corona del Mar Girls’ Team Forfeits Game
The Corona del Mar girls’ basketball team forfeited its game against Costa Mesa on Tuesday to comply with Southern Section rules, Athletic Director Jerry Jelnick said.
The Sea Kings had to forfeit one game because they had competed in four tournaments. Under section rules, a team cannot play in more than three tournaments in one season.
Corona del Mar was given the option of forfeiting a nonleague game yet to be played or the last Sea View League game.
