NO LAME DUCK: Irvine Mayor Sally Anne Sheridan, who beat out incumbent Larry Agran only 18 months ago and by just 672 votes, is already telling confidantes she does not expect to seek reelection in November. Sheridan says publicly that she’s “strongly” leaning that way because of the long workweeks, but she doesn’t have to decide until Aug. 7. . . . “That doesn’t mean I’m going to be a lame duck,” she says. “I’m going to be cracking right up to the last day.”
