ABC’s Monty & Mills: Gloria Monty, who guided “General Hospital” to the top of the ratings in the ‘80s and returned to the program again in 1990, has resigned as executive producer of the daytime soap opera. ABC said she cited personal reasons for leaving. . . . In other news from ABC, actress Donna Mills (of “Knots Landing”) has been signed by ABC Entertainment to develop, produce and star in a new half-hour series and three motion pictures for television. Mills recently starred in the ABC miniseries “False Arrest.”
