Dexter Cambridge, the suspended University of Texas basketball player, has told the NCAA he was made an offer of $30,000 in cash by a “representative” of St. John’s and said he will make the same accusation when he appears before an NCAA Council eligibility subcommittee in Anaheim.
Cambridge, who was ruled ineligible by the NCAA last month after it was determined he received a check for $7,000 as a graduation gift when he left Lon Morris Junior College, first made the allegations against St. John’s last month in a telephone conference call with an NCAA eligibility committee.
