Regarding Robert Scheer’s comments about the Hotel Diva, he has not done his usual homework. The Diva is not only known via word of mouth, but has been featured in major newspapers and magazines the world over as “. . . a star, . . . original and fun, . . . totally different, . . . the place to go,” etc. Since holiday rates seemed appropriately so much a focus for Scheer, a simple call would have told him that Hotel Diva has a holiday rate of $89, not the $119-$139 quotes, and that the hotel is just more than a block from Union Square, not a mile.
