What we need is architects who can design functional buildings that meet the client’s needs in a cost-effective way, who remember handicapped-access and setback requirements, who are more concerned with omissions than making statements. What we don’t need are architects who care more about speaking “at length, nonstop and in perfect paragraphs, about the confluence of art, music and architecture.”
