Rancho Alamitos 66, Bell 65--Ed Taylor scored 22 points for the Vaqueros (3-6). Jerry Espinoza had 18 points for Bell.

In the consolation championship of the boys’ Santa Maria Valley Christian tournament:

Santa Maria Valley Christian 85, St. Michael’s Prep 62--Jocques Wright had 37 points for St. Michael’s (3-7) in the loss in Santa Maria.

Brea-Olinda 74, Costa Mesa 45--Brea-Olinda, Orange County’s top-ranked team, went on a second-half blitz to overpower No. 10 Costa Mesa.

The Ladycats (12-1) outscored the Mustangs by 21 points (40-19) in the second half after leading, 34-26, at halftime. Jody Anton scored 23 points to lead Brea and Nicole Erickson added 20.

Edison 57, El Dorado 55--Joan Paje scored 21 points and Melanie Iwamasa added 19 to lead Edison (6-4) to the upset victory over sixth-ranked El Dorado at Edison.
