In Brief
* * Little Feat, “Shake Me Up,” Morgan Creek. The boogie band’s third album of Dixie-fried rock since it re-formed in 1988 arrives half-baked. The music in the middle, particularly “Fast & Furious,” is piping hot, but the tracks that begin and end the album sound raw and not quite finished, as if the release were rushed out to provide the fledgling label with product.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
