BOY’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS : TOURNAMENT ROUNDUP : Western Defeats Norwalk for Third Place at Katella
Neil Hensley and Frank Floyd each scored 16 points to lead Western past Norwalk, 61-50, Monday in the third-place game of the Katella Tournament.
Hensley, a sophomore, made four of five field-goal attempts and all eight free throws as the Pioneers outscored the Lancers, 27-12, in the fourth quarter. Floyd added a game-high eight rebounds.
Western (8-3) took its first lead on a pair of Hensley free throws with 6:10 to play. Chris Jackson helped seal the victory with a three-pointer with 2:02 left. The Pioneers outscored the Lancers, 13-2, in the last three minutes of play.
Norwalk (6-7) was led by Derek Blackshire, who scored 16 points and had five rebounds.
