Home, Home on the Sitcom: Bob Vila, real-life home improvement guru, will appear as himself on ABC’s sitcom “Home Improvement.” On the show, Vila will appear on Tim Taylor’s (Tim Allen) cable home-repair show, “Tool Time.” His appearance will, of course, threaten Tim. The episode will be taped Jan. 10; no airdate has been set. Vila appeared on PBS’ “This Old House” for 10 year; he now hosts the syndicated “Bob Vila’s Home Again.”
