HELPING THE YOUNG: The semi-public Child Abuse Services Team in Orange has been overrun with children brought to them by police and social workers: nearly 900 this year. . . . Now, thanks to Junior League grants of more than $100,000, it’s going to open a second office next month, in Laguna Hills, with expanded staff. “We think with two facilities in operation we can help about 1,200 young people this next year,” says director Cathy Campbell.
