COSTA MESA : New Vice President Appointed by OCC
Christopher C. O’Hearn, dean of academic affairs at Los Angeles Harbor College in Wilmington, has been named Orange Coast College’s vice president of instruction.
O’Hearn, 40, will assume his new post Jan. 13, overseeing the instructional program and supervision of the college’s 10 instructional divisions.
He will also be in charge of organizing and revising curriculum and will serve as liaison with OCC’s Academic Senate on instructional matters.
O’Hearn joined the L.A. Harbor faculty in 1980 as an English professor and later served as the chairman of its Communications Division for three years. For the last three years, he was the dean of academic affairs.
O’Hearn has also been an adjunct professor of English at El Camino and Occidental colleges.
