‘Tis the Season for Giving: Despite a trend toward declining contributions to the arts, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has received $250,000 in grants. A $175,000, three-year grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation will be used to enhance the orchestra’s artistic growth, while a $75,000 award from the Ralph M. Parsons Foundation will go to marketing and public relations.
