IN THE ORANGE LANE: Even if Orange County is not the quintessence of the good life, some people seem to think so. . . . A new Prentice Hall paperback called “The Best and Worst of Everything” lists Orange County as having the nation’s brightest employment picture. And on Friday’s Michael Jackson KABC talk-radio show, humorist Art Buchwald predicted that the recession could end with “someone from Orange County” deciding to start spending again, and everyone following suit.
