Naming Names: Oscar-winner Whoopi Goldberg will star in the film version of the South African musical, “Sarafina!,” being shot on location in Soweto. The story is about teen-agers and their resistance to apartheid. . . . Indian director Satyajit Ray, whose work includes the “Apu Trilogy” of films about a child growing up in modern India, has been voted an honorary Oscar by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He’ll receive the honor March 30 at the Academy Awards in recognition of his “rare mastery of the art of motion pictures and his . . . influence on filmmakers and audiences.”
