Getting the Economy Moving
The United States is not an economic dictatorship under the leadership of George Bush. America has a free economy and a free enterprise system and 100 million leaders. It is up to these 100 million to get the economy moving again.
Even if George Bush’s proposals were passed by a recalcitrant Congress, they would only have a marginal effect. The American people don’t want a $200 or $300 tax cut that would increase the deficit and make things worse in the long run. They want to be sure they have jobs.
It is easy (and dishonest) to blame one man for economic problems. The media should forget George Bush and look at the 100 million and the ways they can and are moving the economy.
