Vitesse Semiconductor Raises About $25 Million

Vitesse Semiconductor, a Camarillo maker of gallium-arsenide computer chips, said it has made an initial public offering of 3.2 million shares at $9 a share. Net proceeds from the offering--expected to total about $25 million--will be used to buy equipment and reduce debt and for working capital, Vitesse said.
